Couples Love ("the app", "we") is made by an independent developer. Contact: YOUR_EMAIL_HERE. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We tried to keep it plain and honest.
What we collect
- Sign-in: your name and email address from your Google account. We do not ask for your contacts, calendar, files or anything else.
- What you add in the app: your short bio, anniversary date, relationship type, your partner's name or nickname, and the Love Cards, Memories, Date Ideas, Reminders and Wishlist entries you write.
- Website cards: the names, message, date, age, list of reasons and optional photo you enter. They are put on a web page at a private link. Anyone who has the link can see that page until the link expires (a few minutes) or you delete it.
- Security data: a login token and one-time sign-in codes. Our host may also see your IP address and technical logs (such as errors) for security and troubleshooting.
What stays on your phone only
- The partner photo you pick for photo cards, and your crop choice.
- Photo cards you save (they go to your phone's gallery).
- A copy of your reminders (so notifications work offline) and your app settings.
The app has no ads and no analytics or tracking tools. We do not use your data for advertising and we never sell it.
How we use it
To sign you in, save and show your content, make website cards, and send the notifications you switch on. Notifications are created on your phone.
Who handles your data
- Google for Sign in with Google.
- Cloudflare for hosting and the database where your account data is stored.
We do not share your data with anyone else, except if the law requires it.
How it is protected
Data travels over HTTPS and is stored by Cloudflare, which encrypts stored data. It is not end-to-end encrypted, which means the developer could technically access stored content, for example to fix a problem or handle abuse. We do not read your content otherwise.
Payments
Paid features are not available right now and we do not collect payment details. If that changes, we will update this policy first.
How long we keep data
- Account data: until you delete your account.
- Website cards: removed automatically when their link expires, or sooner if you delete them.
- Records of any past purchases, if you ever made one: kept as long as needed for accounting.
Your choices
- Edit your name, bio and anniversary in the Profile screen.
- Delete your account and data from the app, or see how to request deletion.
- Get a copy of your data: in the app, go to Profile, then Settings, then Download my data. You can also email us.
- Notifications: switch each type off in Settings or in Android settings.
Age
Couples Love is for people aged 18 and over.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for big changes, tell you in the app.
